Description

In this project, I reconfigure the figure of the horse not as a heroic or mythic symbol, but as a vulnerable body—at times silent, at times erupting in anguish. The horse I depict falls, cries out, fractures, and runs without hope. Its form carries the tension of Palestinian memory, the estrangement of the body under occupation, and the harshness of constraint.

The horse is not separate from me; it is an extension of my stifled voice, my deferred freedom, and a body unable to find a place of rest. Each horse in this project functions as an interior scene: a recurring collapse, a disoriented resistance, and an unresolved struggle. The works attempt to seize a charged moment suspended between breakdown and persistence, between outcry and erasure, between what might have been and what is no longer possible.
